This child size single row button accordion, also known as a melodeon, was manufactured in Saxony, Germany. The instrument features a wooden casing with a deep red stain, embellished with white floral transfer designs at the corners. It is configured with ten buttons and a series of metal spoon-shaped levers. The top of the housing is fitted with three black-painted wooden pull-stops. The multi-fold bellows are reinforced with metal corner guards and decorated with colourful floral-patterned paper borders. The metal corner brackets are embossed with a house motif and the literal transcription HOUSE TRADE MARK MADE IN SAXONY. The construction includes a combination of wood, metal, and fabric or paper bellows.
