A late Victorian sterling silver decanter label of oval form. The front features bright-cut engraved foliate scroll decoration to the border and is centrally engraved with the word Sherry in cursive script. The label is suspended from a matching silver belcher link chain. The reverse is struck with a full set of British hallmarks including the maker mark G U for George Unite, the lion passant for sterling silver, the anchor for the Birmingham assay office, and the lowercase date letter u for 1894.
