A pair of decorative fighting cock or rooster figurines, likely produced in the mid-20th century. The figures are constructed from cast metal, appearing to be brass or bronze, with a dark, aged patina. Each bird is depicted in a dynamic, naturalistic pose with wings spread and heads lowered. The casting features high-relief detailing, particularly in the textured plumage of the wings, bodies, and long tail feathers. The surface shows evidence of post-cast finishing to define the intricate feather patterns. No maker marks or signatures are visible on the exterior surfaces. Similar examples are often attributed to Japanese or European manufacture from the 1950s.
Length: approximately 25 cm.
