Two silver-plated tableware items manufactured by Elkington and Co. for the Cunard Line shipping company, dating to the mid-20th century. The collection consists of a caster and a cream jug. The caster features a waisted body and a push-fit domed cover with a single aperture. The base is stamped with the number 25662, ELKINGTON PLATE within a rectangular border, ENGLAND, and the letter O inside a circle, corresponding to the year 1950. It also bears the Cunard crest of a crowned lion rampant holding a globe above the word CUNARD. The cream jug is of cylindrical form with a short spout and a simple loop handle. The body is engraved with the Cunard lion crest. The base is marked with a diamond containing 57, the letter A, the number 18861, and a series of shields containing a crown, E, &, and Co. It is further marked ELKINGTON PLATE, with the letter J inside a circle, corresponding to the year 1945, and 1 1/2 P.
