A pair of silver-plated condiment shakers manufactured by Elkington and Co. for the Cunard White Star Line. The shakers are of baluster form, each featuring a stepped, circular weighted base. One shaker is designed with a large circular aperture at the top, likely originally intended for a pepper grinder mechanism or a specific cap, while the other features a solid domed top. The underside of each base is stamped with the words CUNARD WHITE STAR arranged in a circle. Additional markings include ELKINGTON PLATE and the pattern number 3782. The items bear Elkington date codes: one piece is marked with a capital D within a shield, and the other features the number 18 within a diamond.
