An Art Deco silver-plated butter dish of circular form, produced for the Cunard White Star Line. The piece consists of a shallow bowl with twin horizontal, stepped, and ribbed handles. It contains a removable pierced liner featuring a central geometric sunburst motif surrounded by radiating linear slots. The interior surface of the liner is stamped with the characters EPNS, indicating Electroplated Nickel Silver, alongside a pictorial mark depicting the Cunard crest of a lion rampant holding a globe.
