The vessel features a cylindrical body with a short integral pouring spout and a hinged flat lid topped with a small finial. A simple loop handle is attached to the side. The body is engraved with the Bibby Line crest, depicting a flag with a Union Jack pattern within a banner. The base is stamped with the manufacturer mark MAPPIN and WEBB LTD, a diamond-shaped logo containing the letters M and W, a shield-shaped symbol, the reference number W29538, a capacity mark of 1/2 PINT, and the alphanumeric M 2.
