A late Victorian walking stick featuring a dark polished horn crook handle joined to an ebonised wood shaft. The two sections are separated by a decorative sterling silver collar with embossed foliate scrollwork. The collar bears a full set of English hallmarks including the anchor for Birmingham, the lion passant for sterling silver, the duty mark of Queen Victoria, and the date letter t for 1893. The stick terminates in a metal ferrule at the base.
