This collection consists of eight pieces of English salt-glazed and slipped stoneware produced by Moira Stoneware and Pearsons of Chesterfield. The group includes three small cylindrical jars featuring black transfer-printed labels within decorative foliate borders; two are inscribed Kitchen Things and one is inscribed Spoons and Things. These jars have a rich brown glaze to the collared rims. Also included are three tall cylindrical crocks with neutral buff-coloured bodies and deep brown-glazed rims. The collection is completed by one oval lidded casserole dish finished in a uniform brown glaze with a moulded handle on the lid, and one lidded round jar with a brown glaze and a button-knop lid. Base marks include a black printed stamp for Handcrafted Moira Made in England Stoneware and a circular stamp for Pearsons of Chesterfield 1810 Made in England.
