A collection of decorative brass and copper alloy items, primarily featuring traditional British horse brasses and domestic ornaments. The lot includes an assortment of cast horse brasses, many of which are commemorative or souvenir pieces. Inscriptions include Cawdor Castle Nairn Scotland, First and Last Lands End, Cornish Piskey, and Wales. The collection also features fireside tools with cast finials, including a shovel, poker, and fork. Further items include a small circular tray with a fleur-de-lis motif, a handled bowl with a twisted rim, a small ewer with ornate embossed Middle Eastern style decoration, and small engraved cups. The manufacturing techniques include casting for the brasses and tool finials, while the tray and bowl appear stamped or hammered. The horse brasses display various motifs such as the Isle of Man triskelion, heraldic lions, anchors, and windmills. One pair of brasses is mounted on a traditional black leather strap.
