A vintage brown leather suitcase of rectangular form, constructed from stitched leather panels. The front face features the centrally placed initials E. W. in black. The piece is fitted with a single leather-wrapped handle and is secured by two metal flip locks. A detail of the lock plate reveals the stamped letters SECURE above LEVER arranged in a semi-circle. The suitcase is shown in proximity to volumes of the Railway Rates Tribunal dating from 1929 and 1933, suggesting a period of use in the early to mid-20th century.
