A collection of 34 antique Codd-neck soda bottles manufactured from aqua-tinted glass. Each vessel features the characteristic pinched-neck design intended to house a glass marble stopper, a design used extensively for carbonated beverages during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. One bottle is clearly embossed with the name J.W. WHITE, while another displays partial shoulder embossing including the characters HILL. The assortment includes examples associated with R. Whites etc. and other period mineral water manufacturers. These bottles are of heavy glass construction, designed to withstand high internal pressure, and represent a significant era in the history of British commercial bottling.
