A heavy-duty cast iron pan or dipper manufactured by Izons and Co. Ltd of West Bromwich, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The piece is sand-cast with an integral long, straight handle. The body features a deep, heavy-walled cylindrical form with a slightly flared rim. A raised oval cast mark is present on the exterior of the bowl, containing the text IZONS on the upper line and NO 8 on the lower line. This item is designed for industrial use, such as melting low-melting-point alloys, or as a large-scale culinary vessel.
