An Early 20th Century portable stove-top oven manufactured by the Onward Manufacturing Co. The unit is primarily constructed from tinned sheet iron or steel with a domed front and rectangular base. The front drop-down door is embossed with the text THE ONWARD. The construction features riveted seams and reinforced rolled edges. It is equipped with two side-mounted drop handles for transport and a wire pull handle on the door. The top of the oven features a circular, rotating butterfly-style vent made of a copper or brass alloy, designed for heat regulation during use on a paraffin or kerosene stove.
