A pair of decorative sabre-style swords, attributed to mid-to-late 20th-century Indian manufacture, of the type commonly used for ceremonial or wedding purposes. Each sword features a cast brass hilt with a pommel shaped as a stylised animal head, secured by an exposed hex nut. The grips are textured with vertical ridges, and the guards are formed as simple knuckle bows with three decorative piercings. The scabbards are wood-cored and covered in a red velvet-style fabric, embellished with a gold-tone metallic braid running along the spine. Brass scabbard fittings include a locket at the throat, a mid-band with a suspension ring, and a chape at the tip. No maker’s marks or inscriptions are visible on the external surfaces.
