The collection dates from approximately 1938 through the 1980s and covers a variety of educational, historical, and natural history subjects. The Brooke Bond and PG Tips series include titles such as Prehistoric Animals, The Dinosaur Trail, Woodland Wildlife, History of the Motor Car, Creatures of Legend, Inventors and Inventions, British Butterflies, Olympic Greats, Wildlife Survival Gone Wild, and Queen Elizabeth I to Elizabeth II. The John Player and Sons series includes the album Aircraft of the Royal Air Force. The albums feature printed descriptive text with designated spaces for adhesive cards. Markings include the company logos for Brooke Bond and PG Tips, and the manufacturer name John Player and Sons. Price markings on the covers range from pre-decimalisation values such as One Penny and Sixpence to decimal values of 5p and 20p.
