A pair of 20th-century decorative curved sabres or talwars in the Indian style, often associated with Rajput ceremonial or wedding use. Each sword features a curved, single-edged steel blade with etched foliate and scrollwork decoration extending across approximately two-thirds of the length. The hilts are constructed from cast brass, featuring pommels modelled as horse heads with detailed manes. The hilts include integrated knuckle guards and pointed langets. Each sword is housed in a wooden-core scabbard; one is covered in red velvet and the other in dark blue velvet. Both scabbards are embellished with a central strip of metallic gold-tone braid and fitted with brass mounts, including a locket, a mid-band with a suspension loop, and a long chape. No maker’s marks or inscriptions are present on the blades or hilts.
