A trio of hand-painted chalkware figurines depicting football players, produced as promotional items for the preserves manufacturer James Robertson and Sons. The group comprises one figure in a green jersey holding a yellow and black football, and two figures in blue jerseys. All figures are modelled wearing red shorts and black socks with blue trim, standing on integral black rectangular bases. The front edge of each base is applied with a gold-toned label reading ROBERTSON. The undersides of the bases feature red circular paper labels printed with HAND PAINTED and FOREIGN.
