A set of six hand-painted pottery figurines produced as promotional items for the British jam manufacturer James Robertson and Sons. The set features a musical band consisting of a vocalist, a double bass player, a drummer, a saxophonist, an accordionist, and a guitarist. Each figure is depicted in characteristic attire including blue jackets and red trousers, standing upon an integral black rectangular plinth. The front edge of each base displays the name ROBERTSON in raised yellow lettering. The undersides of two bases retain original circular paper labels, one reading HAND PAINTED FOREIGN and the other HAND PAINTED POTTERY.
