The single door is secured by three substantial metal strap hinges and is fitted with a heavy-duty cast metal lever-style latch and a circular louvred metal vent. The interior is fitted with six wooden trays or drawers constructed with dovetailed joints, which slide on integrated metal runners. The edges of the wooden trays bear handwritten inscriptions including Saws, Hammers, and Drills, denoting its previous application for organised tool storage.
