The round dial has a textured cream-coloured face decorated with black Roman numerals set within individual shield-shaped cartouches. The dial is marked Kern in script and GERMANY in block letters. The internal brass movement is visible, featuring a four-ball rotating pendulum. The back plate of the movement is stamped with a circular logo containing interlaced stylised letters within a gear-like border.
