A Middle Eastern jambiya-style fixed-blade dagger, in the style of Syrian decorative metalwork. The curved, double-edged blade is formed from a yellow-toned metal alloy and features a prominent central fuller on both faces. This fuller is decorated with etched foliate scrollwork. The hilt is of waisted I-shape construction, featuring a central grip of dark, polished material, possibly horn or a synthetic substitute. The pommel and bolster are made of brass-toned metal with embossed traditional motifs. The accompanying scabbard is constructed from matching brass-toned metal and is decorated with chased and embossed patterns. These designs include depictions of quadrupeds, such as deer or gazelles, set within geometric and foliate borders. The scabbard is fitted with two suspension rings and a decorative terminal.
