A matt-glazed bisque porcelain figurine depicting a young child artist. The figure is dressed in an oversized white smock with orange sleeves and a high collar, decorated with small orange cruciform patterns. The child features textured brown hair tied in a topknot and blue eyes. The figure holds a paintbrush tipped with dark red paint in one hand and a small, fan-shaped artist’s palette in the other. The underside of the base bears a blue underglaze mark consisting of three dots above a crescent-shaped line and a capital letter N. An incised signature for the artist Roni is also present on the base. This item is characteristic of mid-20th-century Italian porcelain produced in the Capodimonte tradition.
