A Capodimonte bisque porcelain figural group depicting two cherubs or putti in a naturalistic setting. One figure is reclining on a rocky outcrop, partially draped in a lilac cloth, and is observing a small dark object held in its hand. The second figure, draped in an orange cloth, leans forward from a higher ledge. The piece is crafted from matte-finished porcelain and hand-painted in a soft palette. The base is modelled with rocky textures and green foliage, including a single applied flower. The circular foot is decorated with a gilded rim. The underside bears a blue underglaze mark of a crown over a capital letter N.
Width: 15.5cm.
