To the right, a female figure reclines in a bed under a canopy. The figurine is made of glazed porcelain with overglaze enamel painting in shades of pink, yellow, black, and brown. Gilded accents are applied to the clothing, the partition, and the scrollwork on the base. The front vertical face of the base bears the title Who is coming? in black script. A gilded six-pointed star mark is visible on the pink cushion next to the bed, a mark attributed to the German factory Conta and Boehme.
