A Soviet-era hand-carved wooden sculptural group featuring a bear figure grasping a cylindrical lidded honey container. The sculpture is mounted on a square wooden base with chip-carved geometric borders, a decorative motif repeated in bands around the central vessel. The side of the container is incised with Cyrillic characters reading БАШКИРСКИЙ МЁД (Bashkir Honey), identifying the item as a souvenir from the Bashkortostan region. The container also displays a red and gold Soviet State Quality Mark, featuring a five-pointed star within a pentagonal border. The work is executed in a style associated with the Bogorodskoe woodcarving centre and is finished with a polished brown stain.
Length: Approximately 26 cm.
