A pair of matching portrait busts depicting Pope John Paul II in papal robes and zucchetto. The figures are constructed from a moulded composite material, likely resin or bonded alabaster. One bust features a matte off-white finish, while the other has a semi-translucent yellowish appearance. Both are mounted on integral square-section plinths. The front of each plinth is inscribed with the Italian name Giovanni Paolo II. The reverse of the yellowish bust bears two circular impressed marks containing the letters G and A. These items were likely produced in Italy for the devotional or souvenir market.
