An Italian style marquetry inlaid drinks trolley, dating to the mid-20th century. The piece is constructed with mahogany-toned wood veneers featuring light-coloured floral and foliate marquetry inlays, characteristic of the Sorrento style. The two-tier design features a drop-leaf top with two semi-elliptical leaves that create an oval surface when extended. The top tier is finished with a pierced brass gallery. The lower tier, joined by four turned wooden supports, includes a central floral marquetry spray and is fitted with six brass-toned circular bottle holders. Mobility is provided by a pair of large, spoked, brass-finished wheels at the front and two small swivel casters at the rear. A double-arm brass handle with a central turned wooden grip is mounted to one side. The item is presented in as found condition.
