A Bell’s commemorative ceramic whisky decanter, produced by Arthur Bell & Sons, Scotland. This item is the fourth and final instalment in the series celebrating Great Scottish Inventors, specifically commemorating John Logie Baird (1888-1946). The bell-shaped decanter is finished in a cobalt blue glaze with gilded bands and lettering. It features a central transfer-printed portrait of Baird flanked by the dates 1888 and 1946. The gilded bands include the text BELL’S and GREAT SCOTTISH INVENTORS. The neck of the decanter retains a seal marked 8 YEARS AGED. The item is accompanied by its original presentation box which provides details of the series.
