A Beswick ceramic figurine of a kingfisher, model number 2371. The bird is realistically modelled in a perched position upon a naturalistic base depicting marshland with green reeds and bulrushes. The figurine is decorated in polychrome glazes, with teal and blue plumage to the head and wings, an orange-brown breast, and a white throat, finished with a high-gloss glaze. The underside of the base features a blue printed backstamp reading BESWICK ENGLAND and an impressed model number 2371.
