A British World War II civilian respirator manufactured by Henley. The gas mask is constructed with a dark rubber facepiece and features large clear eyepieces finished with stitched brown trim. The rubber neck of the mask is stamped with the marking LEY 6-38, signifying a manufacturing date of June 1938. The unit is fitted with a black cylindrical filter canister that has a perforated metal face. It retains its original adjustable canvas webbing head straps. The respirator is accompanied by its original two-part cardboard storage box, which includes a small identification label on the exterior.
