A collection of two railway carriage seat components comprising a seat base and a seat back from different British train classes. The seat base is upholstered in a dark grey leather-effect material featuring red accent panels and perforated sections. An underside label identifies this component as an LNER HST Class 43 First Class seat base. The accompanying seat back is finished in a purple fabric with thin vertical white pinstripes and is identified by a label on its reverse as a Northern Rail Class 142 Pacer seat back. Both pieces are constructed on plywood bases with visible metal mounting brackets and staples.
