A 1992 Franklin Mint replica of the official commissioning plaque for the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D from the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation. The plaque is constructed from cold-cast bronze and features a central minted sterling silver medallion with gold accents, all set within a finished hardwood frame. The face displays raised relief lettering specifying the starship registry, Galaxy class, and origin at Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards. The text includes names of the series production crew and the phrase to boldly go where no one has gone before. The reverse side includes a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Michael Okuda, the show’s scenic art supervisor and technical consultant. This lot includes the original cardboard shipping box.
