A collection of various military and civilian service pins and medals, primarily dating from the mid-20th century. The group includes a German Iron Cross 1st Class featuring a blackened core with a central swastika and the date 1939. Also present is a silver-tone Auxiliary Fire Service star-shaped pin with red enamel lettering and an oval Women’s Institute enamel badge inscribed FOR HOME AND COUNTRY with a central floral design. The collection further contains a Reconnaissance Corps sweetheart-style pin with blue enamel work mounted on a circular mother-of-pearl base. All items are constructed from various metals and feature functional pin-back attachments on their reverses.
