A hand-painted figurine from the Robert Harrop Designs Beano Dandy Collection, titled BDFC01 The Beano Book Front Cover 1973. This piece recreates the cover illustration of the 1973 Beano annual, depicting the character Gnasher holding a Dennis the Menace glove puppet. The figures are positioned beside a green stool supporting a white box marked Glove Puppet. The assembly is mounted on a circular tiered base in yellow and blue with raised lettering reading THE Beano BOOK 1973. The underside of the base features a red printed maker’s mark for Robert Harrop Designs Limited, citing The Beano, Dandy Collection, copyright D.C. Thomson and Co Ltd 2003. It is marked as a First Edition and hand-numbered 0403 of a limited edition of 1500.
