A central shield-shaped cartouche contains the engraved inscription 7TH BLACK HORSE SHOOTING CLUB 1ST SQUADRON TEAM MATCH SGT. H. PHILLIPS. The underside is stamped with the maker mark MAPPIN & WEBB’S ELECTRO BRITANNIA METAL PLATE SHEFFIELD & LONDON along with hand-incised numerals.
