The item is a commemorative document, widely identified as the King George VI Allied Victory Message or Certificate, issued to schoolchildren on 8th June 1946 following the conclusion of World War II. Printed on thin, light-brown cardstock, the front features a formal message from the King regarding the triumph of the Allied Nations, accompanied by a color printed image of the Royal Coat of Arms bearing the motto Dieu et mon droit. The message concludes with the facsimile signature of George R.I. The reverse side is titled IMPORTANT WAR DATES and MY FAMILY’S WAR RECORD, providing a chronological listing of major events spanning the war years from 1939 to 1945, intended for educational or personal record-keeping purposes.
