A single Mid-Century Modern or Retro style oval accent rug, likely dating from the 1960s or 1970s. The construction is a deep, looped or shag pile, possibly synthetic or a wool blend, consistent with popular home craft kits of the period such as those produced by Shillcraft or Readicut. The central field features a dense, stylized floral bouquet set against a vibrant mustard yellow ground. The abstract blossoms are rendered in a high-contrast palette including dark green, olive green, cream, burnt orange, and dusty blue. The central field is framed by layered borders consisting of solid bands of brown and dark green, transitioning to an outer border with an intricate, repeating geometric pattern in orange, black, and pale green. The perimeter is finished with a shaggy bright green edge.
