A vintage hinged rectangular case constructed of base metal, likely brass, often marketed as a cigarette or card case. The lid features an affixed decorative panel displaying a colorized print, consistent with Victorian-era figural art depicting an 18th-century (Rococo style) ‘Milady’. The woman is shown wearing a wide straw hat adorned with roses and a laced bodice. The print is protected by a yellowed transparent film or resin. The interior is brass-toned and retains two original yellow fabric straps anchored by metal tabs, intended to secure contents. The case opens via a central hinge and closes securely.
