A vintage Sanyo M 9880L Stereo Cassette Recorder, commonly known as a boombox, consistent with a 1980s design aesthetic. Constructed primarily from black and silver-grey plastic with metal speaker grilles and a retractable black metal handle. The unit features a top control panel with push-buttons for tape functions, rotary knobs for volume and tone (bass, treble), and a multi-band analog radio tuner covering AM, FM, LW, MW, and SW. Visible markings include “QUARTZ”, “STEREO CASSETTE RECORDER M 9880L”, “SANYO” (on the lower front), “FULL AUTO STOP”, “CrO2”, and twin analog “VU” (Volume Unit) meters labeled “LEFT INDICATOR RIGHT”.
