Another Great Auction 20th November
A collection of five meticulously hand-carved wooden objects, comprising three decorative wall plaques/signs, one functional wall clock, and one turned wooden bowl. All items are crafted from light-colored wood. The relief carving styles exhibit a blend of intricate geometric patterns, Celtic knotwork, and stylized bird motifs. One prominent sign is inscribed with “CARVUS MAXIMUS” (Latin, translating to “Greatest Carving” or “Maximus the Carver”) and “Our life is what our thoughts make it” in English. The wall clock features carved Arabic numerals 1-12. A circular plaque is inscribed with “SCOTTISH VETERAN CUP 1994” in English.
