Another Great Auction 20th November
An Indian cast bronze kumkum box, also known as a tikka or sindoor box, crafted in a traditional style incorporating lotus and peacock motifs. The multi-compartment hinged container features a central circular base from which eight petal-shaped compartments radiate outwards, each individually hinged. A removable finial in the form of a stylized peacock, with a threaded post, originally screws into the center of the base. No discernible text or maker’s marks are visible.
