Another Great Auction 20th November
A contemporary bottle of Copeland Smugglers Reserve Bordeaux Grand Cru Rum. The rum is presented in a distinctive matte black glass vessel with a squat, rounded body, a short neck, and a vibrant royal blue screw-top cap. A prominent royal blue label, bordered in orange with ornate scrollwork and maritime scenes featuring palm trees, ships, and figures, encircles the bottle. The label prominently displays “COPELAND” and “RUM” in gold lettering, along with “SMUGGLERS RESERVE” and “BORDEAUX GRAND CRU.” A small, round, copper-toned medallion featuring a compass rose design is embedded on the bottle’s shoulder. Additional labels on the reverse provide detailed production information, stating “EST. 2016,” listing ingredients, distillation methods (copper pot & column still), maturation in both Kentucky Bourbon barrels (tropical/Barbados) and Bordeaux Grand Cru red wine casks (continental/Ireland), and that it is a “PRODUCT OF IRELAND” by Copeland Distillery Co. Ltd. Other markings include a “KILLYLEAGH HARBOUR MASTER GRAND CRU EDITION” sticker, a “FOR THE UK” batch sticker, and a barcode.
