Another Great Auction 20th November
This collection comprises eight individual medals and pendants, primarily British in origin, crafted from a variety of materials including patinated bronze-toned alloys, silver-toned alloys, and gilt metal, frequently incorporating colorful enamel. The styles present a range from ornate heraldic crests, such as one featuring three fleur-de-lis on a blue shield and another with three seaxes on a red shield, to more straightforward sporting club emblems. Visible inscriptions include “CITY OF WORCESTER,” “THREE SEVERN PEAKS,” “Bowmen Of Adel,” “SCHOOLS PRIMARY DIST. CHAMPS.,” “W. ESSEX,” “C.A.A.” (appearing on two identical pieces), and “LOUGHTON HALL RIFLE CLUB.” One piece is distinctly decorated with a figure engaged in a sport resembling table tennis or badminton, without accompanying text. The items are consistent with an early to mid-20th century period of use.
