Another Great Auction 20th November
A contemporary bottle of James Eadie’s Trade Mark X Blended Scotch Whisky, presented in its original black cardboard presentation box. The clear glass bottle features a gold-colored screw cap and multiple labels, prominently displaying “ESTABLISHED 1854,” “TRADE X MARK,” “80° PROOF / 45.6% vol.,” and “70cl / 700ml.” A lower label on the bottle specifies “Multi Vintage Blended Scotch Whisky” with dates “1854,” “1877,” and “2017,” accompanied by a “Norman Macalister” signature. The accompanying box features a “JE” monogram, reiterates much of the bottle’s labeling on its front, and includes a quote attributed to Alfred Barnard from 1884. The side of the box provides extensive English-language text detailing the history of James Eadie and the whisky’s blend and revival.
