Another Great Auction 20th November
An antique Primitive Methodist Hymn Book, published in London by John Dickenson in 1875. The book features a dark brown leather or imitation leather binding, adorned with ornate gilt tooling and gilded page edges, characteristic of the late Victorian aesthetic. The front cover is decorated with the phrases ‘WILL SING’ and ‘GIVE PRAISE’ encircling a central emblem. It is equipped with a metal clasp. Inside the front cover, a handwritten inscription reads ‘John William Challis, Grimsby, Lincolnshire, 1876’.
