Another Great Auction 20th November
A Grays Pottery hand-painted ceramic tazza or footed cup, adorned with stylized foliate motifs in shades of deep red, golden brown, and cream on a pale ground. The aesthetic suggests an influence of Art Nouveau or Arts and Crafts styling. Visible text on the foot includes “912 MAYO” and, partially legible around the base, “OLESI…”, strongly indicating “Olesa,” potentially referencing a Spanish origin. The underside of the foot bears a blue handwritten monogram “MW” (or “AW”) and two marks, one in gold and one in blue, which translate to “Zhōngfēng” (中豐).
