A Victorian open-face pocket watch by J.W. Benson, London & Manchester, serial number N 7843. The watch features a Silver case, confirmed by English hallmarks including a Birmingham assay office mark (crown), lion passant for sterling silver, and a date letter ‘n’ likely corresponding to 1887. The white dial is adorned with black Roman numeral hour markers, “CENTRE SECONDS” and “CHRONOGRAPH” text, and a prominent outer scale numbered 0-500. The inner dust cover is marked “WIND UP” and “SET HANDS” adjacent to two winding/setting squares. The watch is fitted with a gilt brass movement.
