Another Great Auction 20th November
A collection of seven ceramic serving pieces by S. Hancock & Sons, in their ‘Corona Ware’ line, primarily featuring the ‘Premier’ pattern. The collection is predominantly in blue and white, showcasing varying patterns. It includes two oval platters: one with a plain white center and a blue patterned rim featuring geometric or stippled decoration, and another with a scalloped edge featuring an intricate blue floral transferware design. A matching gravy boat with an attached underplate and a small lidded tureen display a lighter blue floral transferware pattern. The collection is completed by three two-handled serving tureens (two lidded, one open bowl), distinguished by a broad blue rim with a geometric or stippled pattern, often accented with gilding, particularly around the finials and handles.
