A Japanese 4-Panel Byobu Folding Screen, dating to the early to mid-20th century, depicting geishas in a royal country palace. The continuous landscape scene features multiple figures, predominantly women in traditional attire, engaged in various activities amidst trees, water, and architectural elements. The panels, likely paper or silk mounted on a rigid backing, feature a hand-painted illustration in a traditional style with a muted color palette on a light tan ground, framed by dark-stained wood. The screen is unsigned.
